Bandai Reveals Next Candidates For 2023 Figure Ballot

Bandai revealed on the same livestream as the Sakai 1989 Godzilla showcase their newest ten contenders for the next Movie Monster Series figure. The previous two winners have been Gorosaurus (1968) and Varan (1958), voted overwhelmingly by fans to have a brand-new figure released. Each new winner is revealed on their Godzilla Day livestream on November 3.

Vote in the ballot here.

2021 Ballot Winner: Gorosaurus (1968)

2022 Ballot Winner: Varan (1958)

This year, competition is hot. Some long-overdue potential figures are under contention, including, shockingly, a figure of Zilla (The Godzilla 1998 design used post-1998) from its appearance in Godzilla Final Wars (2004). There are also kaiju stars that have not seen a Bandai figure release since the 1990’s, so an updated figure would please collectors all around. Ultimately, the choice is in the hands of the fans, and it seems like the ballot could go any direction.

Below is every kaiju available for fans to vote on, listed in order of appearance year. A link to access the ballot will be provided upon its launch.

Who are you voting for? Comment below!

Anguirus (1955) from Godzilla Raids Again

Moguera (1955) from The Mysterians

King Ghidorah (1964) from Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster

Gabara (1969) from All Monsters Attack

Titanosaurus (1975) from Terror of Mechagodzilla

Biollante (Rose Form) from Godzilla Vs Biollante

Desghidorah (1996) from Rebirth of Mothra

Kamacuras (2004) from Godzilla: Final Wars

Zilla (2004) from Godzilla: Final Wars

Gigan (2022) from Godzilla Vs. Gigan Rex

May the best monster win!
