New Bandai Yuji Sakai Sculpted Line Revealed on Godzilla Store TV Livestream

Bandai has unveiled a new line of premium collectibles, all masterfully sculpted by Yuji Sakai. These figures are similar to their previous “Premium Bandai” line, which consisted of figures like Baragon (1965) and Frankenstein (1965). The very first figure in this new line is a Godzilla (1989) with a glowing spine effect.

Here is their description.

The new series “Movie Monster Series Kiwami feat. (Featuring) Yuji Sakai” has finally started!
Mr. Sakai, who knows everything about Godzilla, has created a three-dimensional version of the best scene from the cool Godzilla play!
The first installment to commemorate is Mr. Sakai’s recreated brave figure of Biogoji calmly advancing through the building streets of Osaka from the movie “Godzilla VS Biollante”!
The Godzilla Store Limited Edition uses a clear material for the dorsal fin and reproduces the image of Godzilla’s dorsal fin emitting light.

According to the Godzilla store, this figure will be shipped around December 2023 to January 2024. It stands at about 15 inches tall, and is made of PCV. The figure itself will cost about $100 USD (13,200 JPY)

Yuji Sakai is a well-known sculptor and illustrator, having sculpted model kits and x-plus garage figures for high-end collectible companies.
