Bandai Reveals Their 3 Finalists in Figure Ballot!

Previously covered on Kaiju United, Bandai announced their Godzilla Store ballot in making the next exclusive figure. 2021’s winner, Gorosaurus, destroyed the ballot by a landslide, and 2022’s winner was Varan, emerging victorious. Of the 10+ kaiju that were considered, the latest official Godzilla livestream has revealed the last three standing in contest.

Rose Biollante (1989), Desghidorah (1996), and Zilla (2004)!

In a shocking turnout, Zilla has emerged as a finalist. The timing seems right, the resurgence in fondness of the 1998 Godzilla design by fans, is ever clear. The path to the finals helped by Spiral Studios announcing a high-end statue of said figure, and a brand-new G98-centric podcast, No Crossaint, co-hosted by Kaiju United alum David Scrivani.

Of course, there has not been an official 6-inch scale Bandai rendition of Rose Biollante, and the last Desghidorah figure was released for 1996’s Rebirth of Mothra toyline. Two of the potential figures would either be Bandai firsts, and in Desghidorah’s case, a truly overdue update with modern vinyl techniques.

Who will you be voting for in the finals? May the best kaiju win!
