First Look at ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ Revealed By IGN

Revealed today exclusively by entertainment giant IGN are our first real looks at the upcoming MonsterVerse epic, “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire”. The film, being promoted currently at CCXP, is due for a trailer very soon, as marketing appears to be ramping up for the anticipated follow-up to 2021’s “Godzilla Vs. Kong”. We at Kaiju United are excited for this installment, as we feel that fans are getting the best of both worlds. Godzilla: Minus One gave us a terrifying, horrific, nuclear anecdote Godzilla that was much desired, and this new MonsterVerse film will give us entertainment spectacle action reminiscent of later era Showa Godzilla films.

Also within the initial press drop by IGN was an interview with director Adam Wingard. Wingard went on to talk about the challenges of making a monster movie, the new villainous “Skar King”, and to the delight of kaiju fans across the globe, the return of TITANUS DOUG!

“So much of the film is entirely animated CG shots; so much of it is just pure imagination,” the director said. “We have some sequences going up to about eight minutes long, where it’s just the monsters doing their thing, and so the movie really allows the monsters to tell their own narrative in a visual, nonverbal way.”
