Godzilla Minus One Nominated for 12 Japan Academy Prizes!

Fresh off of the official word that Godzilla: Minus One had been nominated for Best Visual FX at our very own Academy Awards ceremony, the nominees for the Japan Academy Prize have been revealed! Of these nominations, Minus One is in twelve categories! That’s more than the previous Toho Godzilla film, Shin Godzilla, andother kaiju peers, like Shin Ultraman! (See our previous article covering Shin Ultraman’s Nominations.) Shin G swept the Academy, with a total of eleven nominations, and seven wins, including Best Picture!

We’ll have to see how Minus One does with its twelve nominations! We have provided photos of the nominees from various sources when applicable.
