D.A.M. CON Returns to Texas + First Three Guests Announced!

Last year saw the rise in independent kaiju & tokusatsu themed conventions. From Kaiju Brooklyn to Tuscon Kaiju Festival, Kaiju Go, and DAMcon, independent showrunners made their mark on gathering kaiju fans near and far within their regions!

Returning for its sophomore year, D.A.M. CON is ready for another year of kaiju and tokusatsu fun! Check out the first new details below! More announcements will come, but for now, here’s the rundown of the show!

Moving to a new venue allows for more guests, more vendors, and more tokusatsu fun! It’s nice seeing Daniel Van Thomas return after appearing at the initial show!

About The Black Market

We are “The Black Market”, an online store centered around Japanese collectibles. Specializing in kaiju & tokusatsu. The Black Market was started by the owner Alex January 1st, 2021, later joined by his partner Trinity. We make pop up show appearances around North Texas and have now expanded into hosting events & creating content on Youtube, Instagram and TikTok.

  • Jacob is a writer, convention programmer, and film fanatic. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Kaiju United, overseeing the site and its collaborations with brands & studios. Outside of KU, he can be seen with his two cats watching horror movies, finding the greatest cheesesteak of all time, and listening to soul records.
