The Godzilla community woke up to incredible news this morning.
Toho Co., Ltd. announced that not only was the next Godzilla film green-lit and in production, but that acclaimed Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki would be at the helm. Sadly, not too many other details are known at this time, but fans can expect another home run from the long-running Godzilla series, as Yamazaki’s team won the ACADEMY AWARD® for Best Visual Effects earlier this year.
This announcement also comes just a few days before Godzilla Day, an internationally recognized festivity celebrating everything regarding the King of the Monsters. Alongside that, GodzillaFest will occur in Japan, where we will see the latest news and updates coming from Toho directly.
