More casting news for Grant Sputore’s highly anticipated Godzilla x Kong sequel has been reported. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the iconic Delroy Lindo has joined the kaiju-sized ranks. Best known for being a frequent Spike Lee collaborator across the beloved director’s filmography, Mr. Lindo will also appear in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, to be released this year.
Not much else is known about his role other than he will be portraying the supervisor of Kaitlyn Dever’s character at Monarch, the mysterious government organization featured throughout all of the movies that follows & studies these gigantic beasts. The cast also includes the recently announced Jack O’Connell and Dan Stevens, who portrayed the Kaiju veterinarian with a laid-back attitude in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Aside from the casting news, the film will see “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.”
