Kadokawa Confirms More Gamera Is on the Way With Video, New 60th Anniversary Logo

Our hopes and desires to see something from Kadokawa in the year of Gamera’s 60th birthday have finally been fulfilled. After much silence in the aftermath of Netflix’s Gamera: Rebirth, news broke last week that the prequel manga to the anime would receive a physical release of its English translation via Titan Manga. Now, fans of the iconic Friend to All Children can rejoice, as a new video & logo celebrating Gamera’s anniversary has been officially released by Kadokawa via their gamera_info account on X.

The owners of Gamera also enthusiastically confirmed that more projects were on the way, something that many kaiju fans had doubts about ever happening again. “In 2025, the Gamera series will celebrate its 60th anniversary. We are currently preparing a project that everyone can enjoy, so please look forward to the next update.”

No other details are known at this time, but stay tuned on Kaiju United for additional announcements as we follow this exciting news. The teaser video shared by Kadokawa will reportedly be uploaded to YouTube for two weeks, so be sure to check it out before it’s gone.
