The First Teaser for ‘Primitive War’ Has Been Unleashed

After following the production of Primitive War for months, interviewing the film’s director, and holding out for a trailer, the first teaser for the upcoming dinosaur flick has finally been revealed exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter! Sporting some incredible cinematography, great dinosaur FX, and some feathery Utahraptor, many fans took to social media to express their excitement for the film. Of course, this ain’t no walk in the park, as expressed by the film’s tagline.

We at Kaiju United are hopeful this film takes us into new dinosaur film territory, as most major film studios avoid the massive juggernaut of a franchise that is Jurassic World at this time. Luke Sparke aims to change this, while also balancing the serious nature of the film, telling Kaiju United in our interview: “I wanted to make sure that it was as real as it can be for veterans, because these guys are representing real people who would be in the military in Vietnam, so we don’t want to make a mockery of them either. That was important to me – keeping those guys involved and making sure that everything was correct.”

Watch the trailer below, and let us know what you think about the film! There’s quite a few dinosaurs hiding in some of those shots…

To set the stage, the film’s synopsis reads:

“Vietnam. 1968. A search and rescue team known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. As they hunt through the primordial depths of the valley, they discover ancient horrors that not only threaten to unravel their minds, but to end their lives as well. Dinosaurs have somehow been unleashed! When the casualties mount, the men of Vulture Squad must abandon their human nature and give in to their savage instincts in order to survive…the Primitive War.”
