‘Kong x Godzilla: The Ride’ Coming to South Korea

The very first MonsterVerse ride is coming to South Korea! Lotte World announced today in a press release their intentions to debut Kong x Godzilla: The Ride in December 2025. Produced in collaboration with Legendary and Toho, this ride will be the first of its kind for the MonsterVerse. While specific details are kept under wraps, for instance, what kind of ride it will be, we do know that it will be replacing the Jungle Adventure Boat attraction.

Kwon Oh-sang, CEO of Lotte World, said, “‘Kong X Godzilla: The Ride’ will provide a unique sense of immersion into the global movie IP worldview,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide new experiences to customers.”

Currently, Legendary’s MonsterVerse is a billion dollar franchise, collecting $2.52 billion overall. Its latest entry, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was the highest grossing entry in the series, bringing in $570 million at the worldwide box office. The next installment, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, is to be released in March 2027 and is directed by Grant Sputore.
