New Mechagodzilla Revealed in Takashi Yamazaki’s Next Theme Park Ride

The previously announced theme park attraction by Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki now has a name… and a brand new version of Mechagodzilla! The robotic doppelganger of the King of the Monsters will appear in the upcoming attraction to be directed by Yamazaki-san for debut at the Seibuen Amusement Park in Japan. Dubbed KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER, it’s clear that this MonsterVerse-inspired beast is going to have to pack a punch to defeat Yamazaki’s ferocious version of Big G. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to experience this ride though, as it’s coming sooner than you think: August 1!

Per Godzilla.com, the new ride, now dubbed Godzilla the Ride: Great Clash will “cast attendees as “Godzilla surveillance crew members” aboard the Goose Nest, the flagship vessel of the Emergency Defense against Gargantuan Encounter (EDGE) team, which houses the KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐. During the approximately 15-minute splash ride, attendees will embark on a mission to locate and engage Godzilla on the Goose Nest’s advanced “GOOSE” drone ship capable of underwater, surface, and aerial navigation.”

Additionally, Godzilla.com confirms that the ride will also feature “an exclusive pre-show room, including EDGE performers, large monitors showing Godzilla coastal attacks and detailed schematics of the Goose Nest mothership, plus a mockup of the KIJU type 0‐G BREAKER‐ in its hangar.”

Stay tuned for additional details on this upcoming ride on Kaiju United!
