Next week is the biggest convention of them all – San Diego Comic-Con! It’s been known for some time that Godzilla is set to make a big splash there, with an official takeover of Super7’s physical location, panels, and more, but now we have the entire schedule of what to expect at the show. Per Godzilla.com, all of these events will be at the San Diego Convention Center, unless noted as an offsite event or collaboration. From Shin Godzilla Co-director Shinji Higuchi making an appearance at the official Godzilla 70th panel to the latest in IDW Publishing’s Kai-Sei era of Godzilla comics, there’s something here for all G-Fans.
IDW‘s massive new Godzilla universe has arrived! Moderated by Aaron Gregory (Toho International, Inc.) and featuring creators Tim Seeley, Oliver Ono, Ethan Parker, Griffin Sheridan, and Jake Williams (editor), this panel will be full of kaiju-sized surprises as fans feast their eyes on new art, plot twists, and much more.

Panelists include Brian Buccellato (Justice League v Godzilla v Kong 2), Rosie Knight (Monsterverse Declassified), Paul Cornell (Monarch: The Lost Adventures), Drew Zucker (Canto, Monsterverse Declassified/Monarch), and David M. Celebrate Godzilla’s 70th anniversary with Steve Ryfle and Ed Godziszewski as they share photos and stories from their new book from Abrams, Godzilla: The First 70 Years. The book explores every aspect of the creation, design, and evolution of King of the Monsters in Toho Studios’ films and TV series from 1954 to the present. The presentation, moderated by Aaron John Gregory (Godzilla product development manager, Toho International, Inc.), will include exclusive behind-the-scenes photography, production materials, posters, and more.
The IDW booth will offer exclusive covers and enamel pins, early access releases, and host two Godzilla signings. Fans can also stop by the booth to get a free Godzilla poster while supplies last.

The Bandai Namco Toys and Collectibles booth will recreate an abandoned kaiju fallout shelter, hosting Godzilla displays, scheduled kaiju photo opportunities, and more. Event exclusives include a $35 Limited Godzilla Minus One Special Gold Edition Figure and the premium S.H.MonsterArts GODZILLA (2023) Exclusive Edition for $160. The first 750 shoppers who pick up the Godzilla Minus One Special Gold Edition Figure will receive a standard variant Godzilla poster illustrated by IDW Publishing’s Godzilla #1 writer Tim Seeley while supplies last. Booth shoppers who spend $175 can receive a limited metallic Gold Print Variant of the poster limited to 100 pieces. Fans can attend a ticketed signing with Shin Godzilla co-director Shinji Higuchi on Saturday, July 26 at 1 p.m. at the Bandai booth, with limited tickets being distributed at Toho International, Inc.’s Friday Godzilla panel.
Monogram will offer its $40 Godzilla 70th Anniversary Deluxe Gift Set, which will be limited to 300 pieces and pack a 3D Godzilla Foam Bag Clip, a Godzilla lanyard and charm, and three enamel pins.

Super7’s Godzilla pop-up experience and store takeover will have exclusive merchandise and exciting fan engagements throughout the convention at its San Diego store. What’s more, an in-store signing event with Shin Godzilla Director, Shinji Higuchi will take place Friday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to noon. Arrive at 10 a.m. on Friday to secure one of 50 wristbands to attend the signing, first come, first served. No lining up in advance.
Fans can metaphorically feel the heat coming off the “Burning” Godzilla mural from 1995’s Godzilla vs. Destoroyah movie at the San Diego BAIT store location.
Hosted by Rosie Knight (Godzilla: Monster Island Summer Camp) with special guests, Den of Geek’s Godzilla-themed event benefitting The Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC) nonprofit will auction select SDCC exclusives in-person and via livestream.
