Toho’s next venture into apparel, accessory, and sneaker collaborations has been fully revealed ahead of its debut at SneakerCon after a few teasers. Fans attending the show will be able to get their hands on exclusive slides, crew necks, hats, and other merchandise featuring the King of the Monsters and done in collaboration with Diamond Supply Co. at the show. Interestingly, SneakerCon also revealed limited trading cards alongside the merch drop, designed by Pokémon TCG artist Mitsuhiro Arita. It is unclear at this time what quanitity said cards are limited to, but SneakerCon has referred to them as “extremely limited.”
Previously, Toho has collaborated with Puma on the Godzilla x Puma x atmos x Secret Base pair of sneaker shoes, matching them up with a collectible soft vinyl figure. This is part of Toho’s global expansion to reach new audiences and bring new and interesting collaborations to the market, and it’s clear that sneakers and other footwear are on that list.
