Throughout the year, Godzilla has crossed over with just about.. well, everyone. From the stars of Marvel to the DC mainstays, Godzilla’s on an epic crossover path and has not stopped there, especially after the recently announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Godzilla crossover. Now, Big G will step into another world once again, but this time a different, but still wildly popular world: Sneaker Con.
Recently announced, Sneaker Con Los Angeles, set for September 6-7, 2025, at the Los Angeles Convention center, will feature a special collaboration with Godzilla. According to Sneaker Con Los Angeles’ event webpage, “This year’s show features a special collaboration with Godzilla, highlighted by original artwork from world-renowned illustrator Mitsuhiro Arita, best known for his work on Pokémon and Final Fantasy. Arita will also be making a live appearance at the event.”
Arita’s appearance is a wonderful treat for the event, and with his expertise he will certainly create awesome original Godzilla artwork.
The other point of news, which provides anticipation and excitement for Godzilla-fan sneakerheads, is that an exclusive Godzilla x Sneaker Con merch capsule will debut at the event, with more details to be revealed soon that will promptly be covered here at Kaiju United.
With only a month to go until the con, we will surely see details of the artwork and merch capsule soon. Godzilla’s popularity and widespread pop culture influences are demonstrated yet again as he steps into the celebratory world of Sneaker Con for the first time!
