Exclusive Preview: Godzilla Destroys Atlanta in First Look at ‘Godzilla’ Issue #3

The Kai-Sei Universe is about to change forever.

Godzilla has arrived stateside in Atlanta after a long absence, and there’s no clear motive behind what may be the biggest in-universe attack from Big G since the incident that created the Deadzone. Additionally, a mysterious new kaiju threat in the form of Lament has emerged, and while this is all going down, G-FORCE is occupied in Bermuda with the dastardly Yacumama leeches with seemingly no end in sight. What is going on? Why is Godzilla behaving like this? Things are about to get crazy in the third issue of Godzilla, written by Tim Seeley with art by Nikola Čižmešija, colors by Francesco Segala & Gloria Martinelli, and letters by Nathan Widick.

IDW’s official solicitation states:

“While G-Force is on a fool’s errand off the coast of Bermuda, Godzilla’s rampage begins in Atlanta! But… how did Godzilla appear in the middle of the country? And after so much time without a stateside Godzilla attack, why has the King of the Monsters appeared twice in the last few weeks?

G-Force fights a brand-new kaiju, and Godzilla tears through the country, in the third issue of Tim Seeley and Nikola Čižmešija’s ongoing series!”

Kaiju United is proud to share an exclusive preview of Godzilla #3. The third issue of IDW’s ongoing Godzilla series will be released on October 8th. For those looking to continue with the main Kai-Sei run, the final cutoff order date for the fourth issue is this Monday (September 29th), so be sure to get your orders in at your local comic shops!
