The kaiju multiplayer brawler will never be the same. Today, Passion Republic Games announced their eighth (and reportedly most ambitious yet) GigaBash DLC called Final Ascension with a brand new announcement trailer filled with epic moments. Starting March 26th, fans of the game will gain access to new music, two new maps, two new playable characters, and most intriguing of all, a new Story Mode chapter.
In the new chapters coming to the Final Ascension DLC, “the story revolves around the mysterious circumstances of Gigaman’s disappearance and his return in the face of a new threat.” It certainly seems like this is the twilight hour of Gigaman and the stakes have never been higher…. but just who are our new playable characters?
Our first character is a new hero: Gaya Gigaman, the Champion of Justice reborn in flames of hope. This legend of the GigaBash world is here to show that an old dog doesn’t need new tricks. He stands with the best, he dispenses with the rest! Like a shooting star, he blitzes across the battlefield to dole out justice against any villain near or far. Gaya Gigaman is the embodiment of heroism, sacrificing even his lifeforce to ensure his foes stay down. Let his azure flame scour the wicked!

Every great hero needs a formidable force of evil to face off against, and this second character looks to bring quite the challenge for Gaya Gigaman. And thus, Zargorah arrives… the harbinger of doomsday. Ferocious and devastating, this Apex Titan is the terror of any arena. He rules the air, the ground, the very Giga Energy that suffuses the land, for all belongs to Cosmic Chaos. Zargorah is a capital-T Threat, whether he’s up close with his raking claws and tail, or afar with his fire breath and apocalypse lasers.
Who will you choose to do battle with? Are you going to join Gaya Gigaman in the epic struggle against the forces of darkness? Or, will you succumb to evil and ally yourself with Zargorath? The choice is yours in GigaBash’s most ambitious DLC yet. With a grand total of 28 playable characters, including original and crossover characters from legendary kaiju and tokusatsu history including Godzilla, Ultraman, and Gamera representation, it seems like this is merely just the beginning for the popular giant monster fighting game!
