Godzilla Fest is held every year in Japan on November 3rd, the release date of the original 1954 Godzilla film. Typically, the show will have the latest announcements, Godzilla Store highlights, special panels, and some fun meet & greets. The past five years, a new tokusatsu short film has also premiered, featuring entirely practical effects and the King of the Monsters taking on a new enemy.
The festivities run all day and are also livestreamed in two places – on the Japanese Godzilla YouTube channel and on the Godzilla Store JP YouTube channel (for the figure announcements).

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah 30th Anniversary Talk Show
With its striking catchphrase, “Godzilla dies,” “Godzilla vs. Destroyah” continues to be loved by Godzilla fans. The film marked the end of the so-called “Heisei vs. Series,” and will soon be celebrating 30 years since its release in December 1995.
To mark this memorable milestone, a talk show featuring the film’s producer, Shogo Toyama, main feature director Takao Okawara, and Destroyah’s sculptor, Shinichi Wakasa, has been scheduled!
These three people who supported the “Heisei vs. Series” will talk about the thoughts they put into “VS Destroyah,” a film still beloved by fans today!

Festival Godzilla II: Shinjuku in Flames
The new special effects short film series, which seemed to have reached its finale at last year’s “Godzilla Fest 2024,” will be rebooted this year under the title “Fest Godzilla II.” The first installment is titled “Fest Godzilla II: Shinjuku Burns.”
Directed by Nakagawa Kazuhiro, who has worked on all previous “Fest Godzilla” films, and starring actor Suzuki Fuku, who is known for his love of special effects, this film not only features the exploits of the “Burning Millennium Godzilla” for the first time, but also takes on new special effects techniques and a one-shot composition, making it a must-see!
