ANNOUNCEMENT: Kaiju United to debut “Kaiju United Town Hall” Podcast!

FROM THE SHORES OF MONSTER ISLAND TO THE DEPTHS OF THE HOLLOW EARTH…

Kaiju United is ecstatic to announce KAIJU UNITED TOWN HALL!  Started by Nick Crispino, this series will be a brand new audio series, joining the ranks of Talking Toku and Growing Up with Godzilla as our featured podcasts on the sites.  The Town Hall will be impromptu, with staff, contributors, and special guests discussing big and important happenings in the world of kaiju and giant monster movies. Whether it’s the release of a highly anticipated film/show, or breaking news in the community, Kaiju United Town Hall has you covered!

Statement from Editor-in-Chief Jacob Lyngle:

I’m really excited to be debuting an in-house podcast. I think it will be a fantastic way for our contributors to join together and discuss something roundtable style. Of course, listeners can also expect some in-depth coverage and review from the amazing individuals that make Kaiju United one of the best places for our community.  I’m hoping this will grow our outreach into a territory previously undone by the in-house productions, as we have mostly relegated to text articles for reviews and commentary in the past.  I am thrilled to be expanding into podcast format!

Statement from Nick Crispino:

The point of these episodes is that they’re infrequent and impromptu, which emphasizes the importance of the topic that we’re talking about. Basically, if a Town Hall gets recorded, something awesome in the community has or is about to happen.  For example, the release and initial success of Godzilla Minus One this past weekend would be a fantastic topic to bring everyone together for.  That being said, I don’t want to restrict what qualifies for Town Hall subject matter to just releases of new movies/shows.  I would love in-person interviews at conventions or press events with prominent figures to be grounds enough for a Town hall to be recorded!

Kaiju United Town Hall Episode 1 will be available this week on most major podcasting networks.
