ANNOUNCEMENT: David Scrivani Joins Kaiju United Staff

SALT LAKE CITY, UT.

Kaiju United continues to grow!

We are ecstatic to announce that David Scrivani will be joining the esteemed ranks of KU Staff!  David will serve as Chief Brand Officer, bringing his contagious positivity and community relationships to further cement our brand. David will be a frontline ambassador to our community, recruiting new contributors, forging new relationships, and ensuring that KU remains committed to our community first and foremost.  Mr. Scrivani has been an adamant supporter of our cause — having promoted what we do on his own podcast, Talking Toku, BEFORE the launch of our site.  David continued to serve as a contributor to KU, submitting a piece for our launch, and cementing himself as a true day-one individual.  We would not have launched as successfully without David.

At our first convention appearance, David also provided his expertise on our debut panel for the show, Roaring Guitars: Heavy Metal Inspired by Kaiju, giving fans insight into bands such as Sepultura and Oxygen Destroyer.  He remains a music and audio fanatic, having collected nearly all of the Godzilla soundtracks on vinyl in his personal time.

Regarding this new announcement, KU Editor-in-Chief Jacob Lyngle said:

I am thrilled to finally cement David amongst our fantastic Kaiju United leadership.  David has been a supporter and devoted to the brand since day 1.  No other individual has done so much to support Kaiju United, spread awareness, and maintain our values more so than Mr. Scrivani.  He’s the capybara of the kaiju community – everyone loves his contagious vibe! As we further adjust to the massive growth we have seen with the site, David will be a key asset in maintaining what we do best – having a pulse on the amazing kaiju and tokusatsu fans that inhabit our community!

KU Senior Editor Nick Crispino added:

“When I first met David at G-FEST, I Immediately took a liking to him. He’s an example of how amazing and welcoming this community can be. He’s also a super talented creator, and I can’t wait to see where his expertise will take the KU brand!”

David Scrivani reflected on his new role with Kaiju United:

Kaiju United has long felt like a second home to me ever since its inception as a humble Facebook group, and it’s been a joy to watch its evolution and growth over the years thanks to the hard work of Jacob and the rest of the staff members, both current and former. While I’ve done everything I can to support Kaiju United from the sidelines since the beginning, I’m thrilled to be joining Jacob & Nick in a more official capacity by fostering camaraderie between readers and contributors from all walks of life, so we can continue to drive that Kaiju United is the best there is at what we do.”
