As Kaiju United enters a new era, more help is needed to accommodate our increasing number of submissions and recruited contributors. We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Hayley Doland from contributor to Managing Editor of KU. Starting with our Alien coverage, Hayley’s analysis and editing skills will help our cause tremendously, and we can’t wait to have her aboard. Her extensive knowledge of kaiju, the Alien series, and Kurosawa films will help us continue our desire to have the most accurate information out there.
You’ve previously seen Hayley tackle ‘Gamera the Brave’, bringing us a piece that uplifted a commonly overlooked film in the series, as well as a fun review of ‘The X From Outer Space’.
Welcome to the team, Hayley!
Editor-in-Chief Jacob Lyngle states:
I have known Hayley for twelve years. Through that time, she has remained steadfast and loyal to the values we at Kaiju United share. Hayley is loyal, warm, and friendly to our community, being a day one supporter of KU and a longtime admin of our social media group. I am thrilled as Editor-in-Chief to get an extra hand in taking a look at submissions, ensuring great feedback and growth for our amazing contributors. I would even argue that she knows more about Japanese cinema than I do! Thank you for joining the team, Hayley!
Hayley stated:
I’ve been a member of the Kaiju United community since it’s inception. The goal of uniting and sharing the fandom without gatekeeping is such a beautiful endeavor. I can’t express enough how happy and excited I am to play a bigger part in the community! Working with Kaiju United is a fan’s dream!
