Fans of the long-running kaiju & tokusatsu-inspired extravaganza have lots to look forward to this year. Initially announced at their Unholy Diver event in Brooklyn, Kaiju Big Battel has launched a Patreon for its loyal fanbase, with perks including a community-oriented discord server and exclusive access to the near-complete video library of all Kaiju Big Battle material over the past thirty years. That’s right, for the first time in the group’s history, Kaiju is consolidating and releasing its historical vault into a central, fan-supported home on Patreon.

In fact, there’s even material present that was presumed lost at some point. The long-running battles battles between the heroic kaiju such as Burger Bear and the villainous Dr. Cube and his dastardly forces over the past three decades are now available digitally for the first time ever, with even more footage to become available at a later date, as Kaiju Big Battel has fully committed to making the full filmed vault available by the end of 2026.

“For so long, we’ve had this footage scattered across various drives and tapes—some of it we even assumed was lost,” said Andy Bell (Andy Salbino), Kaiju Big Battel stage manager, coordinator, and historian. “We don’t want it to go to waste, and we think fans will love seeing what’s been hiding in the vault.”

“It’s not just about the footage—it’s about strengthening our community and giving fans a reliable way to stay connected,” said Noah Waterman, Production Coordinator for Kaiju Big Battel. “We still meet people who thought Kaiju disappeared after the G4 era. The Patreon is how we keep fans plugged in, while building momentum for the next chapter.”

Kaiju Big Battel was founded as an art project in 1994 at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The independent production blends Japanese tokusatsu, lucha libre, and comic book culture into a one-of-a-kind live experience. It’s also self-described as a “a live-event monster-fighting comedy spectacle combining practical creature performances, wrestling-inspired action, and audience participation into an original theatrical experience.” The kaiju-centric spectacle has toured for decades, building a devoted fanbase throughout the world with its DIY city-stomping chaos and ongoing roster of larger-than-life monsters, including Burger Bear, Kung Fu Chicken Noodle Soup, Dr. Cube, and Sky Deviler.

Some of the Patreon Perks that will become available at launch include:
