Godzilla Will Conquer The Multiverse This July in New Comic

The trilogy-concluding saga of Godzilla’s rampage across the pages of Marvel Comics is coming this July from the same team behind Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe and Godzilla: Infinity Roar. This time… the King of the Monsters’ path of destruction will usurp realities, as no single Earth is safe from the wrath of our favorite kaiju in Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse. Written by Gerry Duggan with art from Javier Garrón, the book promises strange and uncanny variants of our favorite kaiju and superheroes alike, with some of the initial variant covers giving us glimpses at a Mecha-Fin Fang Foom and the fan-favorite Godzilla-ized Wolverine. And yes, it appears this book will conclude Godzilla’s crossover time in the world of Marvel Comics for the time being.

The book’s official solicitation gives us a glimpse into the multiverse clash, stating:

“An unholy alliance between Knull and Godzilla conquers the Marvel Universe — and now Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Kang, Emma Frost, Ghost Rider, the Punisher, Man-Thing and more stand on the edge of annihilation! When Doomstadt rips across dimensions to capture a kaiju capable of stopping the King of the Monsters, the team collides with mecha fiends, multiversal kaiju and a deadly Red Skull in adamantium armor. But as universes burn, an unexpected ally may hold the key to survival.”

Writer Gerry Duggan commented on this final arc, telling Godzilla.com, “The culmination of this Godzilla X Marvel collaboration has been a privilege from the jump. To be able to help smash these worlds together with Javi and our collaborators has brought real joy.

Duggan also added that there will be “an ending you’ll never see coming” with “favorites from both universes making late star entrances.”

Variants include a main cover by David Marquez, (as well as a virgin edition of Marquez’s cover), a Mechagodzilla vs. Mecha-Fin Fang Foom foil cover by Juan Frigeri, an epic Wolverine-Godzilla variant by Giuseppe Camuncoli, and the first entry in a new series of Heisei Godzilla vs. Marvel variant covers by Nic Klein.
