Ever wonder how dinosaurs would act if they were forced to live in a cul-de-sac in suburban America? Well, look no further than the new trailer for The End of Oak Street. Directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake), this new trailer
promises lots and lots of gruesome prehistoric violence for any sort of fan looking for a new summer sci-fi hit.
Lead by Anne Hathaway and Ewan MacGregor, the film follows the Platt family, a typical suburban family, after a cosmic event takes place in their neighborhood. After seeing a flashing light at night, their entire street appears to be transported to a different
world; one that is infested with dinosaurs lurking in every corner. Along with this trailer dropped a new poster, highlighting one of the Jurassic monsters that will appear in the film. The Allosaurus-type creature in the poster as well as the film promises that The End of Oak Street will have the same brutal action that audiences look forward to in creature features such as this.
Produced by J. J. Abrams, many fans believe that this film will be a sort of continuation of his famous Cloverfield series, with many pointing out that this film follows a similar story beat. A mysterious cosmic event occurs in which a seemingly normal area is populated by monsters, or creatures out of their own space (and time). The original title, named Flowervale Street, seems to hint at this even more. Though nothing officially been confirmed, Abrams and Mitchell likely have a twist hidden beneath all of the
reptilian carnage.
With all of this new information and new look, the film promises to be an exciting romp into the unknown and prehistoric as a summer blockbuster event. The End of Oak Street transports into theaters and onto IMAX screens on August 14. Check out the
