Indie Comic Spotlight: KAIJUS AND COWBOYS!

Howdy, Kaiju United readers!

What are two of the most unique combinations you can think of?  For us at Kaiju United, it’s KAIJUS AND COWBOYS! Our dedication to highlighting the best of the independent creators and artists in our community continues, with Kaijus and Cowboys, illustrated passionately by Frankie B. Washington, and words woven brilliantly by Matthew Blair.

“Kaijus and Cowboys” is an action-adventure comic set on an alien world that is being settled by a group of robots. Unfortunately for the robots, the planet is infested with giant kaiju monsters that constantly rampage through the settlement towns and destroy everything they can find.

Enter the Hunter, one of many specially designed robots who is programmed to fight and kill the biggest, meanest kaiju on the planet.”

Our Hunter is THE BOT WITH NO NAME, a crystal-clear, yet unique take on the lone hero commonly found in Western and Samurai stories.  This ain’t no ordinary Clint Eastwood, though! Its got dreadlocks that can plug into anything!

K&C is a massively entertaining ride, full of monster action, awesome heroic imagery, and pure escapist fun! The book itself calls back to the Bronze Age of Comics (1970-1985), where there was substance to your style, build-up to your climactic action, and purely fantastical and fun character designs. Independent creators in the kaiju community have been following a mantra that works— familiar, but with your own flavor, and that’s purely what Kaijus and Cowboys is. A fun bronze-age creature feature, with a Western spin!

So, saddle on up, as the Kickstarter will be live on Monday, April 17, and give Frankie and Matthew your support to bring issues 1 and 2 to comic book enthusiasts across the globe!
