Norwegian Kraken Film Debuts New Teaser & June Release Date

A monstrous secret lies in the deep…

After months of great mystery, of when fans overseas would get to see the latest Norwegian monster movie, the official release date for Kraken has been revealed alongside a brand new trailer via Samuel Goldwyn Films. Aiming for a June 12th release on VOD and select cinemas, the creature feature sees “a marine biologist who is recruited to investigate strange phenomenon occurring in the region, events unfold which lead to the awakening of a mythological creature – the deep sea-dwelling monster known as the Kraken.”

Pål Øie serves as director, with Vilde Eide, Kjersti Jelen Rasmussenand Natasha Arthur drafting the screenplay. Kraken stars Sara Khorami, Mikkel Bratt Silset, Øyvind Brandtzæg, Jenny Evensen, Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes, Jon Erik Myre, Hans Morten Hansen, Steinar Klouman Hallertand Filip Bargee Ramberg.
