On December 11th, we got our first look at the new official poster for Thailand’s newest “Thaiju” film! With the tagline, “One legend will hunt them down,” the film is set to be released domestically on January 22nd, 2026, by Neramitnung Film. “Omukade” [โอมุคาเดะ] is the latest film by the company to feature Thaiju. Previously, the company had released the widely-popular “Leio: The Terrible Giant” (2022), released as “The Beast Below” in America [LEIO ไลโอโคตรแย้ยักษ์], “The 100” (2023), released as Creepy Crawly in America [๑๐๐ ร้อยขา], and the most recent “Taklee Genesis” (2024), which is scheduled to be released in America as “Project Genesis” [ตาคลี เจเนซิส].

The film reportedly serves as a prequel to “The 100,” however, sources contradict whether it actually is or not. The synopsis reads:
During World War II, a handful of Japanese soldiers are stationed in Thailand and find themselves in a cursed mine with their prisoners, trapped. The shaft has been blocked by a bomb. In the confines of the mine, they soon discover that they’re not alone. The monstrous creature is lurking in the deep, damp tunnels.
“Omukade” had its world premiere at the SLASH Film Festival (September 18-28, 2025) at Film Casino in Vienna, Austria. The response from the audience was one of excitement and thrill, with the sold-out show erupting into applause as the credits rolled. Currently, no announcement has been made regarding the international rollout of the film, but plans are in place to release it internationally.
On May 2nd, 2025, Bloody Disgusting exclusively released the Official Trailer with English subtitles.

The film was produced by Sa Pakphumjai Co., Ltd. Fatcat handled the visual effects. Omukade’s design was created by Tawilap Akethammahkij, with music by Vanilla Sky Studio, and was co-written by Pakphum Wongjinda and Methus Sirinawin.
The film’s cast includes Narilya Gulmongkolpech, Daung, Hideki Nagayama, Ryota Ohmi, James Laver, and Yasaka Chaisorned. Produced by Monaiya Tharasak, Pakphum Wongjinda, and Kamonwan Kanaraksunti.
“OMUKADE” is directed by “The 100” duo Pakpoom Wongjinda and Chalit Krailerdmongkol.
